Alison Holt completed undergraduate studies in Physics at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and earned a Masters of Public Administration from Wayne State University. She has professional experience as a policy and budget analyst for state and local government, as well as non-profit policy research. Her experience has helped form her research interests in the role of bureaucratic discretion in setting policy and rules, as well as oversight of the bureaucracy particularly focused on the relationship between administrative agencies and the courts. Alison is also interested in applying machine learning techniques to analyze administrative records kept by government agencies.
