Building Capacity for Leaders
OUR MISSION — We educate and train leaders around the world and in local communities to manage organizations and devise policies that make societies and communities worldwide better places for all.
The Executive Education Forum for Policy at USC Price offers a broad base of specialized non-degree certificate programs for local and global leaders. The Forum is a suite of programs targeting public sector and other senior, mid-level, and emerging leaders, and is designed to deepen their understanding of substantive policy issues, augment their ability to leverage and increase existing public sector capacity, and foster leadership – all with the purpose of improving public and nonprofit administration and solving public problems. The Forum achieves this by bringing together world-renowned faculty of USC Price, experienced practitioners and a dynamic curriculum to teach and reach across boundaries.
USC PRICE EXECUTIVE EDUCATION FORUM FOR POLICY (EXED)
- Local Leaders Program: Designed for local elected officials, this program offers a focused curriculum in ethics, governance, leadership and public policy to promote and enhance commitment to public value and to reach across sectors. Our target audiences for this program are mayors, council members, supervisors and special district board members.
- Global Leaders Program: This program offers customized educational and training programs for domestic and foreign policy-driven organizations and government agencies, with the goal of satisfying their specific needs. The Global Leaders Program seeks to train senior executives and administrators in an organization, as well as emerging leaders among their staff. Here our target audiences include for-profit, non-profit or government agencies, which have identified a specific training need to be filled.
- Leadership Programs: The flagship examples of USC Price’s global leaders approach are its Leadership Programs. These programs are interactive seminars designed for skill building and development of leadership abilities. Lessons from these seminars can be readily taken from the classroom into the public and nonprofit sectors. The curricula provide real approaches to real problems, and the courses are expressly designed so participants can begin using lessons immediately in the workplace.
