California Democrats’ big event likely to expose infighting amid anti-Trump resistance

The San Jose Mercury News quoted Sherry Bebitch Jeffe of the USC Price School on the limited impact intra-party fighting has on the California Democratic Party’s core purpose.

“The main function of a state party — either of them — is to raise money,” she said, “and to provide a faucet by which big donors and special interests who cannot give large contributions to candidates directly can throw a whole lot of money into the party coffers.”
