Los Angeles mayor’s plans go begging on streets

Sherry Bebitch Jeffe, Professor of the Practice of Public Policy Communication at USC Price, spoke with the Financial Times about Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti’s plans for Olympics, solving homelessness, and getting traction on transit. She said that “His potential as a candidate for higher office is there but the problem of homelessness is dogging him dramatically … and though public transportation is better than it used to be, the metro here is still non-functioning as far as I’m concerned.”
