Austin Beutner

Austin Beutner is the former First Deputy Mayor of Los Angeles. At age 29, he became the youngest partner at The Blackstone Group. At 33, he served in the US government under President Clinton where he led a team that helped Russia transition to a market economy after the collapse of the Soviet Union. He went on to found Evercore Partners, as President and Co-CEO built the firm into a global leader.

Mr. Beutner serves as Chairman of the Board of CalArts, Chairman of the Board of the Broad Stage, and is Co-Chairman of the CalArts Community Arts Partnership. He is also Chairman of the Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation, which he founded. Additionally, he serves on the Boards of Directors of The Los Angeles Fund for Public Education, ACT Today!, and the California Nature Conservancy and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He also chairs the Board of Vision To Learn, a program he created which provides free glasses to low-income kids in Los Angeles schools.
