Yeokwang (Brian) An a is second-year PhD student in Public Policy and Management in the Sol Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California. He is interested in urban economics and state and local government finance. At USC, he is working on several projects such as racial inequality and local provision of public goods in the US during 1980-2010, affordable housing policies-the impact of mixed-income housing on the trajectories of urban neighborhood change in the US, and policy diffusion of forty four states’ motion picture production incentive programs in the US between 1992 and 2015.
Yeokwang enjoys using and analyzing big data and administrative data. He holds Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Yonsei University and Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. Past work experience includes working as a consultant with International Finance Corporation, an intern with United Nations Headquarters and a missionary in Africa. He served in the Republic of Korea Air Force as a first lieutenant in public affairs for more than 3 years. In his spare time, Yeokwang does not want to let the Bible out of his hand.
