“It’s a tremendous personal honor,” said Bostic “to be recognized and accepted into this prestigious group. It is an affirmation of my belief that working at the intersection of research and practice can provide rich value for both communities. I am excited for the opportunity to take the lessons i have learned through my career thus far and apply them to challenges being faced across the country.”

NAPA was chartered by Congress in 1967, in order to help public sector leaders meet the diverse management needs and look toward the future. It is an independent and non-partisan organization which “undertakes its important work on behalf of the public sector by anticipating, evaluating, analyzing and making recommendations on the nation’s most critical and complex public management, governance, policy and operational challenges.”

Along with Raphael Bostic, two other USC administrators were also selected for the 2013 induction: Dean Ernest Wilson, Dean of USC Annenberg and the Walter H. Annenberg Chair in Communication, and James Ferris, director of the Center on Philanthropy and Public Policy at USC Price. The induction ceremony will be held in Washington, DC today (November 14, 2013).

Bostic joins other Bedrosian Center faculty who are NAPA members: Dean Jack Knott, Terry Cooper, Robert Denhardt, Janet Denhardt, and our Research Director Shui Yan Tang.
