Lunch with a Leader: Kathryn Barger, L.A. County Supervisor, District 5

November 13, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Join USC Sol Price School of Public Policy and USC Bedrosian Center at a special luncheon with L.A. County Supervisor Kathryn Barger.

Supervisor Kathryn Barger began her career in public service as a college intern in the office of long-time Supervisor Mike Antonovich, rising to become his chief deputy in 2001, where she served until her election to the Board of Supervisors in November 2016. She has been dedicated to providing effective, responsive representation to the residents of Los Angeles County.

Supervisor Barger proudly serves the residents of Los Angeles County’s 5th Supervisorial District — the county’s largest — spanning 2800 square miles, which includes 22 cities and 70 unincorporated communities in the San Gabriel, San Fernando, Cresenta, Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys.

Lunch with a Leader provides students, faculty, and members of the public, the opportunity to hear ideas from local, state, and national leaders, share their own ideas, and gain inspiration for effective governance in a more intimate and informal setting.
