Nicholas ‘Nick’ Griffin, Director of Economic Development, spearheads DTLA’s Downtown Center Business Improvement District’s (DCBID) efforts to attract new businesses and residents to Downtown LA. Prior to the DCBID, Nick spent more than 25 years in business development in the real estate brokerage, media/entertainment and technology industries.
According to Wikipedia, there are more than 1,500 Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) in North America and these organizations “are challenging and re-shaping traditional assumptions of public management—its promises and performance—at the most local of government levels.
