Join the USC Bedrosian Center and the USC School of Dramatic Arts for a viewing of The Originalist, presented by the Pasadena Playhouse.
When a bright, liberal law school graduate embarks on a nerve-wracking clerkship with Justice Antonin Scalia, she discovers him to be both an infuriating sparring partner and an unexpected mentor. As the country waits for Scalia’s seat to be filled, The Originalist looks into the complexities of one of the most polarizing Supreme Court Justices of all times. This powerful work portrays the passionate people risking heart and soul to defend their interpretation of the truth, and the constitution.
Following the play there will be a facilitated dialogue on these relevant issues – Professor Jody David Armour (USC Gould) and David Bridel (Dean of the USC School of Dramatic Arts) will participate.
USC Bedrosian Center has group tickets for students for the April 26th performance at a discounted rate, though several performances still have tickets available here if you cannot join us that evening.
Because this is a group ticketed event, tickets for the actual play will be distributed from the Bedrosian Center in Lewis Hall. If we are sold out, please contact us at the email below – there is a possiblity that we can obtain more tickets for our group.
