HUD chief on new housing rules: ‘ZIP code should never determine a child’s future’

In an article about HUD’s new Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing rule, which reaffirms the tenets of the Fair Housing Act of 1968, Bedrosian Center Director Raphael Bostic is optimistic that community planning process can be inclusive and honest about issues of residential segregation and access to resources.

“Americans really do care about broader society and broader community. I think that just by virtue of having that conversation we’re going to see a bunch of really innovative and really interesting things emerge,” says Bostic.
