Inglewood councilman’s clients include companies he’s supported with his votes

Daily Breeze quoted Frank Zerunyan of the USC Price School about possible conflicts of interest by a council member in Inglewood.

Under California law and Inglewood’s charter, a city council member cannot directly, or indirectly, benefit financially from his or her votes. But because Morales doesn’t appear to have an ownership stake in either of the companies he works for, he might be far enough removed to avoid a conflict, according to Frank Zerunyan, a faculty member at the USC’s Sol Price School of Public Policy.
