San Francisco Fed elevates a gay woman — its vice president — to the top job

Los Angeles Timesnoted that former USC Professor Raphael Bosticis the first African-American to lead a Federal Reserve Bank.

Former USC Professor Raphael Bostic made historyin 2017 when he was chosen as president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, becoming the first African American to lead one of the Fed’s 12 regional banks. Bostic also become the first openly gay person to be a regional Fed president.
