Should Federal Judges Be Barred From Membership In Ideological Legal Groups?
KPCC-FM’s “AirTalk” interviewed Jody Armour of the USC Gould School on if federal judges should be barred from membership in certain ideological groups.
“When we lose the neutrality of the courts we have things like what happened here in L.A. in ’92. When there was a riot that erupted, when the perceived legitimacy of the courts were called into question by the Simi Valley verdict. The jury seemed to defy what many people saw with their own eyes. Even though that had to do with jury and this has to do with judges, both deal with the legitimacy of the court.”
