With N.J. in desperate need of affordable housing aid, federal funding faces ax

Raphael Bostic, Director of the Bedrosian Center and Interim Director of the Lusk Center for Real Estate, was cited in an opinion piece by Holly Leicht on the website NJ.com. Leicht is the regional administrator covering New York and New Jersey for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. Leicht’s piece draws on research which Bostic outlined in his earlier op-ed in the Star Ledger. She writes, “New Jersey is in a serious housing affordability crisis.Just a few weeks ago, academic and former HUD Assistant Secretary Raphael Bostic outlined the scale of the problem: over 30 percent of renters in New Jersey pay at least half of their income towards housing, the second highest rate in the nation.”
