LA affordable housing program

KNX 1070 AM interviewed Richard Green of the USC Lusk Center on the increased effectiveness of a four-year-old Los Angeles affordable housing program.

“You will be allowed to develop with more density without needing to get any particular permissions to do so, in exchange for setting aside a certain share of your units as affordable, for a long period of time, but to be eligible for this program you need to be in what’s called a transit zone, so you need to have a certain amount of access to transit.”
